I wore the pearls because I was feeling a certain way.
There are mornings when you get dressed, and there are mornings when you decide you’re having a Breakfast at Tiffany’s moment. This was very much the latter.
Except Tiffany’s was Café Boulud at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, Holly Golightly was wearing Sambas, and, rather wonderfully, everybody knew my name.

A Very Warm Welcome
I had made a reservation, but I wasn’t quite prepared for just how expected I would feel. From the moment I arrived, it was “Good morning, Miss Claudia.” “Would you like some coffee, Miss Claudia?” “Is everything okay, Miss Claudia?” Every waiter and waitress seemed to know who I was before I had even introduced myself.
And I won’t lie. With the pearls already on, I leaned all the way into it.

There is good service, and then there is the kind of service that changes the entire experience. The team at Café Boulud were attentive without hovering. I was checked on throughout breakfast, my coffee was never forgotten, and when I wasn’t quite sure what to order, they happily talked me through the menu and shared their recommendations.
It felt personal. I wasn’t simply seated, served and sent on my way. From the way I was welcomed to those little “Miss Claudia” check-ins throughout breakfast, I felt genuinely looked after.
Sometimes luxury is less about what is on the table and more about how you are made to feel while sitting at it.
A Little Bit of Paris in Riyadh
The interiors have that unmistakable French sensibility without trying too hard to announce it. Dark polished woods, warm brass, marble, soft cream upholstery and beautiful illustrated wall panels give the restaurant the elegance of a grand Parisian café, but with a much more contemporary finish.

There are little details everywhere: the bread display, the beautiful lighting, the curved woodwork, the mirrors and the artwork. Even the palette feels considered. It is elegant, but not stiff. Beautiful, but still somewhere you actually want to sit for a while.
And considering I had arrived in a white shirt, jeans, Sambas and enough pearls to make Holly Golightly proud, I felt very much at home.
Breakfast, But Make It an Occasion
What I enjoyed most was that breakfast never felt rushed. I could sit with my coffee, take in the room, ask questions about the menu and simply enjoy being there.

Because sometimes you aren’t looking for breakfast simply because you’re hungry. Sometimes you want the ritual of it. The coffee. The beautiful room. The getting dressed. The pearls, apparently.
You want breakfast to feel like an occasion. This one did.

The Verdict
I went to Café Boulud expecting a lovely breakfast at the Four Seasons. I left thinking about how lovely it is to go somewhere and feel expected.
The beautiful surroundings certainly helped, and the food and menu recommendations were wonderful, but it was the service that stayed with me. Every “Miss Claudia,” every check-in and every small interaction made what could have been an ordinary breakfast feel incredibly personal.
Would I go back? Absolutely.
Although now that they know my name, I suppose I’ll have to.
And yes, I’ll probably wear the pearls again.

The Photo Album
A little more from the morning.

The bonuses they offer are actually legit and not just bait. I’m really enjoying the gaming experience here. phpeso999
