Seeing as I’ve been living in the Middle East, I thought I’d style some modest looks for this shoot. Tell me, how do you think I did?
There is a certain elegance and sophistication about modest clothing. The ladies in the Middle East do it so effortlessly. Since I’ve been working here (in the Middle East), I’ve had to adapt. And to tell you the truth, I honestly don’t mind it at all. On a daily basis, my work requires me to dress culturally appropriately. It’s now become the norm to cover my shoulders and my knees. I cannot fault the Middle eastern fashion, kinda like ‘Sex and the City 2’ , where the woman wear their abayas with designer accessories. Their makeup is always on point and they scout the most beautiful manes, if they they aren’t completely covered up.
