winter break in qatar

I just came back from my Christmas break in Qatar. Even though I used to live there, I think I took it for granted. So, this time, I made a conscientious effort to visit ‘touristy’ places. Let’s have a look at where I went…

Mina District: It was the first time I went there. It reminded me of The Cape Flats in Cape Town. There are tons of little restaurants, stores and coffee shops.

The Pearl.: A man-made island build just outside Doha. The architecture is absolutely beautiful. There is also a beautiful waterfront filled with yachts, where people can sit and enjoy a variety of restaurants and coffee shops

Doha Fish Market: It is situated in the Mina District. There you can buy fish and seafood, as well as have it cooked for you inside the restaurant.
